Read Across America

In 2017, our chapter facilitated the first annual Read Across America event in the Cedar Valley. In honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday, this national event brings volunteers into elementary and middle school classrooms to spend some time reading to the students. This service event is hosted in collaboration with the Kiwanis Clubs of the Cedar Valley. 

In the event's first two years, over 250 volunteers read to more than 150 classrooms. Additionally, more than 400 books were donated to classrooms in our local schools.
